CORNEAL EXAMINATION




Pigment tends to collect in a 
vertical pattern in the center of 
the cornea due to the convection 
currents in the aqueous and when 
this pigment is extensive it is 
easily seen with a wide beam or 
diffuse illumination.  This is called 
Krukenberg’s Spindle.
